Valiant Annual 1976 ( published in the winter of 1975 ) treated us to an original story for Adam's debut in one of its Annuals - and in full color too! Mike Gage who provided the scans has this to say : "This original story from Valiant Annual 1976 sees Adam pay a brief visit to 600 AD, apparently the age of Arthurian Britain. Not one of Adam's usual artists but quite attractively done, methinks. I've had no qualms about giving this story the invented title "The Gold Mines of Endless Toil" since the phrase figures so prominently on the first page."
