TOM KERR
When the strip appeared for the first time back
in 1970 in the new British comic title THUNDER,the job of drawing it was given to a seasoned veteran TOM KERR.Obviously a
new strip in a new comic would have to stand up very well and as was the case for most of the strips being presented to the
public for the first time, this would be done by an experienced Artist. Many fans would probably not view this as the definitive
look for Adam Eterno, but it was his "first look"!And it would be the only time TOM KERR would draw our tragic hero. The artwork
was very moody and had an almost etched woodblock feel to it giving the strip an olde worlde look to it.It is a matter of
conjecture as to whether TOM KERR actually drew the entire first strip as halfway through the story, the character and the
backgrounds look different as if it has been drawn by another artist, suggesting that TOM KERR only drew the first page or
so to give a look and feel for the character to aid future Artists.

COLIN PAGE
COLIN PAGE immediately took over the reins from
the second strip onwards and was for the main part, the Series Artist for much of the THUNDER run.I suspect he may also have
been our mysterious "Second Artist" on the first strip as well. His Adam Eterno was more youthful looking and beefier,as opposed
to KERR's almost noble faced Alchemist's Assistant! The emphasis was on clean lines with clear scenes very easy on the eye.

SOLANO LOPEZ
Francesco Solano Lopez took on the mantel of Artist
for the strip in an intermittent fashion for three stories towards the end of the THUNDER run in 1971.His first foray showed
Adam as an older individual, his second in an almost cartoon-like effect with the last a mature grittier visage which would
become more pronounced as the series continued on into LION.The artwork throughout was more detailed and dark than in previous
episodes thus far.It is this Artist who perhaps is most closely identified with Adam Eterno than any other.Because of the
demands placed on this popular artist,it has been established that his STUDIO would merely ink over his previously prepared
rough drafts, which would explain some of the subtle differences in the art later on in the series.

JUAN GIRALT
JUAN GIRALT took over Artistic duties towards the
latter end of the VALIANT run before the comic joined BATTLE in 1976 without Adam Eterno.JUAN remained faithful to the established
Adam while adding his own style to the strip. His strip style while not as detailed or gritty as SOLANO was still very much
in keeping with the old look and feel of the strip.
